How to delegate so that stuff gets done well and on time
Tips on how to delegate + and a FREE template!
Hey there,
Last week my co-founder left for a break to get married 💍🤵♂️👰♀️ and I gladly took on a bunch of his tasks, just to realise that there is no space left on my already overflowing plate. So I panicked for a moment and then did what I know how to do best: make a list and start prioritising. It was quite overwhelming, so I asked a colleague to help me (one of the best ideas, really!) and together we realised that there are a few projects and tasks that I can delegate. I shared with him that I noticed that sometimes when I try to delegate, I don’t really get to a place where my team members fully own the tasks, and there are these loose and fuzzy ends sometimes. Can you relate? Anyways, I decided to buckle up and improve how I delegate tasks. I also watched Top Gun Maverick this weekend, so maybe watching the pilot communicating inspired me to double down on clarity in handovers.
