Tips on how to stick to your daily reflection routine
Hey there,
How often do you reflect? Is it part of your daily or weekly routine? And why should you do this anyways?
These were the questions I asked James Trunk, VP engineering at Griffin, who recently was a guest on our Teams at Work podcast, and this is what I got:
When leading a team, it’s not so easy to understand whether you are doing a good or not so good job, the feedback loop is quite delayed and often it takes days or weeks to understand “whether something worked”. Reflection helps you to shortcut that process a bit, since through reflection you can synthesize insights, data and feedback on a daily basis and that helps you learn and grow faster.
My challenge often is to stick to my daily reflection routine and make sure it does not get steamrolled by the day-to-day craziness.
