Hey there,
This week was my first week in NYC since 2 years. Pre-pandemic we had a team and an office here, which we closed in 2021. My mission here now is to build out US team & presence back up. It’s not the easiest mission, knowing that back in Berlin all hands are needed to support the Ukrainian people arriving there every day.
When I arrived I was surprised to see how big the support for Ukraine is in the US. Businesses are collecting donations, the news is reporting daily on Russia’s invasion, people are constantly talking about it. One of the reasons is that many US companies in tech are working with teams based in Ukraine, especially lots of startups have designers, developers and PMs working out of Ukraine.
If you have team members in Ukraine or team members in your team are affected by the war in Ukraine, you may ask yourself: How can I support my team the best? How can I prepare my business for what’s to come?
I dove in and found a few very helpful resources that I found helpful and that maybe helpful for you too:
