Hey there,
What a week. We’ve closed our funding round and also held our first Clubhouse session with our community 🎉🥳
However, the most challenging moment of the week for me was when we noticed that our app crashed upon start for some of our users 😱
This is obviously a red flag and so we stopped what we were working on and jumped on it. 16 hours later (late Friday night) we had identified the issue, pushed a fix and submitted it to Apple for expedited review.
The next morning I woke up and started reflecting on what happened. We already scheduled the post-mortem for this, but this situation also begged the question: how to react “the right way” when things break and you need to fix them quickly and effectively, w/o playing the blame game. How to keep your team safe and functional, when you fuck up?
